A report generation facility is supported in BTS that allows the managers to analyze which are those skills by employee are utilized and those which are not utilized. ABSTRACT
Career Guidance Solutions is developed for creating an interactive job vacancy for candidates. This web application is to be conceived in its current form as a dynamic site-requiring constant updates both from the seekers as well as the companies. On the whole the objective of the project is to enable jobseekers to place their resumes and companies to publish their vacancies. It enables jobseekers to post their resume, search for jobs, view personal job listings. It will provide various companies to place their vacancy profile on the site and also have an option to search candidate resumes. Apart from this there will be an admin module for the customer to make changes to the database content.

7.Dispensive Database querying system
ABSTRACT
The problem involves developing a distributed database querying system. The system has three databases. These databases are MS Access databases as used in this Implementation. However, these databases could be of varying architectures like Oracle or MS SQL server and so on.The system has three Access databases on three different machines. The database structures are as described in the problem statement earlier. Just above the databases on each machine is a Query Database object. The Query Database object can talk to the Database and make queries on it. Since the Query Database objects are on the same Machine as the database they are interacting with, it is assumed that the individual Query Database objects would know the structure of the database they are querying. The Query Database object talks to the database using JDBC (Java Database Connectivity) calls. Unfortunately, the Access databases do not recognize JDBC calls. However, Access understands another standard i.e. ODBC (Open Database Connectivity). Thus the Query Database objects use a JDBC-ODBC bridge to connect to the database.

ABSTRACT
The next-generation mobile network will support terminal mobility, personal mobility, and service provider portability, making global roaming seamless. A location-independent personal telecommunication number (PTN) scheme is conducive to implementing such a global mobile system. However, the nongeographic PTNs coupled with the anticipated large number of mobile users in future mobile networks may introduce very large centralized databases. This necessitates research into the design and performance of high-throughput database technologies used in mobile systems to ensure that future systems will be able to carry efficiently the anticipated loads. This project proposes a scalable, robust, efficient location database architecture based on the location-independent PTNs.The proposed multitree database architecture consists of a number of database subsystems, each of which is a three-level tree structure and is connected to the others only through its root. By exploiting the localized nature of calling and mobility patterns, the proposed architecture effectively reduces the database loads as well as the signaling traffic incurred by the location registration and call delivery procedures. In addition, two memory-resident database indices, memory-resident direct file and T-tree, are proposed for the location databases to further improve their throughput. Analysis model and numerical results are presented to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed database architecture. Results have revealed that the proposed database architecture for location management can effectively support the anticipated high user density in the future mobile networks.

Auctions are among the oldest economic institutions in place. They have been used since antiquity to sell a wide variety of goods, and their basic form has remained unchanged. In this dissertation, we explore the efficiency of common auctions when values are interdependent- the value to a particular bidder may depend on information available only to others-and asymmetric. In this setting, it is well known that sealed-bid auctions do not achieve efficient allocations in general since they do not allow the information held by different bidders to be shared. e- Auction System website which is used to bid from the comfort of ones own home has seen a change like never seen before. This is done through JAVA technologies. This has various technical areas. It includes WINDOWS XP as the operating System, Oracle as Database. The front end deals with GUI and source code deals with Oracle (Backend). With the point and click of the mouse, one may bid on an item they may need or just want, and in moments they find that either they are the top bidder or someone else wants it more, and you’re outbid! , while meeting the needs of its users.

OTS works with well over all taxicab companies statewide to cover multiple areas spanning through all districts of the state and we persistently strive to expand our service coverage area. This Project was done in offline and can also be placed in online to serve the customers.

E-learning comes in different configurations that dictate the depth of a needs assessment. The simple e-learning implementations, such as those following an application service provider (ASP) model, won’t necessarily look any different from a resource requirement perspective than traditional classroom training. That’s e-learning.
E-learning can be an enormous undertaking and, require significantly more preparation due to its increased scope, higher interdependence, and visibility. These factors–described below–are the reason a needs assessment for an e-learning initiative looks different from one for a traditional classroom program.
- Scope. Developing an e-learning initiative is a typically much larger endeavor than that of an instructor-led training (ILT) program. Consider the increased expenses, number of people involved, development time, technological requirements, and delivery options.
- Interdependence. It’s possible, even common, for an ILT program to be conducted without the knowledge of anyone but the participants, their immediate managers, and the training provider. In contrast, even the smallest e-learning program requires a wider group of people. Ranging from (at a minimum) representatives from the IT and HR departments to (more commonly) an organization-wide task force, the scope of the project often dictates that there are more decision makers, more stakeholders, and more links between previously unrelated departments.
- Visibility. When a traditional training program goes bad, a participant’s dissatisfaction is usually voiced by word of mouth. And the people who express dissatisfaction, in most cases, are the participants and, maybe later, the people directly affected by their work. Again, due to the scope of the undertaking (especially the high budget and number of resources required), the efficacy of an e-learning program will be delivered to a larger group of people and through a wider variety of channels than an ILT program. Typically, a CEO can tap into a training database and view participants’ course comments, exam results, and the courses taken. It’s easier to determine whether an e-learning program is unpopular or ineffective than to rely on word of mouth about a questionable ILT program.,

Thus it helps the organization to improve the performance of its teams in the corporate sector. This system design shall be able to provide the following facilities to the users:
System shall accept the mails from authorized users providing security. Submitted messages will be delivered to appropriate person only. Provides the facility to review messages from the respective folders. Effective Communication has become an integral part of organizations today. The rapid development of intranets may provide construction and design teams with an innovative tool for meeting these growing communication challenges.
A project specific intranet uses a database server to store mails information and the organizational information such as users details including the personal information and information requests. Teams members can be then access this information using the Ezee Mail System. As information changes, the server content can be easily updated with new or revised data. This flexible approach allows geographically remote project teams to access timely, consistent and accurate information without expensive typesetting, printing, distribution and mailing charges.
This Employee Intranet System is to provide a communication system in an organization, which takes the chance of establishing channel for sending and receiving the information between the users. The main objective of the project is to develop a fully functional Ezee Mail System that enhances communications among the members of the organization in a reliable, cost-effective and secure way. Thus it helps the organization to improve the performance of its teams in conducting the organizational works the corporate sector. This system design shall be able to provide the following facilities to the users.
The user can access this mailing system for sending the information to other users of the same organization. He is also provided with login and logout services, service of checking into the mails through the inbox, sending the mails using compose service, checking the sent mails list, creating and deleting the folders in association to the user involved in the communication. User is also provided with the flexibility of maintaining the address book in the mailing system through which he can store the details of his contacts. Users of the Ezee Mail System are also provided with the chance to change the password of his account through the options service designed.
This system is to be designed with user flexible screens through which user can navigate through the mailing system and access the above services for the basic purpose of communication.
13.Enterprise resource information System
ABSTRACT
Software consultants and recruiting agencies conduct a test to the candidates applying for the job. They, then select the candidates who passed the test and make arrangements after their interviews; fix the date and other formalities. This is then informated to the candidates. Interview is conducted and the candidates passing the interview are recruited as employees in their own firm.
The organization maintains data about the recruited employees; their personal details, skills, experience etc, it also maintains information about the firms outsourcing the recruitment. It maintains all the details about the vacancies in firms and their requirements.
The organization then matches the requirements of the firms with that of the skills of its employees and assigns them to the concerned firms. It still maintains the details of the assigned employees; because these are the hired employees directly under the control of the organization, and it is the organization who pays salaries to them.
The organization does all these manually. It writes down the data about the applicants, employees and clients in the records. All this is a very tedious job requiring everything to be done manually.
Enterprise Resource Information System addresses all these by automating many of the tasks of the organization. It relieves the employees by letting them do all the tedious jobs electronically.
14.Faculty Work Allotment System

This project is aimed at developing an online on-request courses coordination system that is of importance to an IT organization which has a training department of its own.
The online on-request courses coordination system (ORS) is an Intranet based application that can be accessed throughout the organization or a specified group/Dept. This system can be used to automate the workflow of the requests that come from various departments for project specific trainings and their approvals. The training department has to cater to the training of the fresh recruits. It has a regular calendar and schedule to train the Fresher. In addition to this it has to handle the project specific training requests coming from various departments. For this the department has appointed one person as the on-request coordinator, who will be able to service the requests with help of ORS.
The whole process starting from logging the request by a dept to servicing the request is automated. There are features like logging the request, to check the existing training calendar and checking the availability of respective faculties for the course, allocating the faculty for the course, if an internal faculty is not free during that period getting faculties from outside, report generators etc in this system.
15.File transfer system

Peer-to-peer overlay networks are widely used in distributed systems.P2P networks can be divided into two categories: structured peer-to-peer networks in which peers are connected by a regular topology, and unstructured peer-to-peer networks in which the topology is arbitrary. The
objective of this work is to design a hybrid peer-to-peer system for distributed data sharing which combines the advantages of both types of Peer-to-peer networks and minimizes their disadvantages. Consistency maintenance is propagating the updates from a primary file to its replica. Adaptive consistency maintenance algorithm (ACMA) maintains that periodically polls the file owner to update the file due to minimum number of replicas consistency overhead is very low. Top Caching (TC) algorithm helps to boost the system performance and to build a fully distributed cache for most popular information. Our caching scheme can deliver lower query delay, better load balance and higher cache hit ratios. It effectively relieves the over-caching problems for the most popular objects.

Security often requires that data be kept safe from unauthorized access. And the best line of defense is physical security (placing the machine to be protected behind physical walls). However, physical security is not always an option (due to cost and/or efficiency considerations). Instead, most computers are interconnected with each other openly, thereby exposing them and the communication channels that they use.
Steganography secures information by protecting its confidentiality. It can also be used to protect information about the integrity and authenticity of data. Stronger Steganographic techniques are needed to ensure the integrity of data stored on a machine that may be infected or under attack.
So far Steganography is used in many forms but using it with Audio, Video & Image files is another Stronger Technique. The process of Steganography happens with Audio, Video & Image File for transferring more secure sensitive data. The Sensitive Data is Encoded with an Audio, Video & Image File and Passed over Insecure Channels to other end of Systems. Here we can use any file Format for Encryption and Decryption of Message.
The given message will be encrypted with a given Audio, Video & Image file using a secret key. The System will then embed the secret message into the Audio, Video & Image file. The result will be a new Audio, Video & Image file, which has the secret message in it. While decrypting the same key should be given for encrypted Audio, Video & Image file to get the secret message from it.

18.HANDSCRIPT RECOGNITION FRAMEWORK
ABSTRACT
The goal of topic-oriented text summarization is to produce informative short description according to the given topic or query. This is somewhat similar to the target of question answering which retrieves exact answers from large text collections. In this paper, we present a lightweight and rule-free summarization technique. Our method relies on a two-pass re-ranking framework. The first pass is to order the concepts which were clustered via conventional top-down clustering algorithm. The second pass generates the representative sentences from the top N concepts. The main advantage of our work is that we do not need to build external knowledge or pre-defined rules. This is our first time to participate in DUC. Although the result of our system is not comparable with most top-performed methods, the light-weight and rule free techniques still encourage us to further improve via integrating rich sources.

The proposed system applies to Police Institutions all across the country and specifically looks into the subject of Crime Records Management. It is well understood that Crime Prevention, Detection and Conviction of criminals depend on a highly responsive backbone of Information Management. The efficiency of the Policing function and the effectiveness with which it tackles crime depend on what quality of information it can derive from its existing records and how fast it can have access to it.
It is proposed to centralize Information Management in Crime for the purposes of fast and efficient sharing of critical information across all Police Stations across the territory. Initially, the system will be implemented across Cities and Towns and later on, be interlinked so that a Police detective can access information across all records in the state thus helping speedy and successful completion to cases. The System would also be used to generate information for pro-active and preventive measures for fighting crime.
The project has been planned to be having the view of distributed architecture, with centralized storage of the database. The application for the storage of the data has been planned. Using the constructs of Oracle 8i and all the user interfaces have been designed using the Java J2EE technologies. The database connectivity is planned using the “JDBC Connection” methodology. The standards of security and data protective mechanism have been given a big choice for proper usage. The application takes care of different modules and their associated reports, which are produced as per the applicable strategies and standards that are put forwarded by the administrative staff.

Routing is the act of moving information across an inter network from a source to a destination. Along the way, at least one intermediate node typically is encountered. Routing is the process of finding a path from a source to every destination in the network. It allows users in the remote part of the world to get to information and services provided by computers anywhere in the world. Routing is accomplished by means of routing protocols that establish mutually consistent routing tables in every router in the Network.
When a packet is received by the router or is forwarded by the host, they both must make decisions as to how to send the packet. To do this, the router and the host consult a database for information known as the routing table. This database is stored in RAM so that the lookup process is optimized. As the packet is forwarded through various routers towards its destination, each router makes a decision so as to proceed by consulting its routing table.

It takes lots of time for writing records manually. Even there is chance of missing of Information before it is entered to the Manual records. It may not update in time due to delay in one transaction, which may affect the other. After our information has been entered and if any mistakes are there then our transaction may not be valid which may take some time or even a few days to rectify.
It is a long process that takes more time and money. The authority has to keep the details of each and every registered employee manually. They have to generate pay slips for every Employee within time. Even they has to keep the duplicate copy of reports generated because if some Employees won’t get their pay slips, they should contact the authority directly to receive their pay slips, loans etc.
To over come the problem above specified we have automated every module and the transaction that takes place manually. And any user can operate, as it is user friendly
To register an employee we need to login as a system administrator who will only have the permission to add, delete and update the information. It provides the checkbox at user level where the only registered employee information to be selected. Hence it make easier for the user to give attendance.
The user has to just click the attendance form and put the attendance. we can generate a report there itself after the attendance is completed. Every event in the organization is automated to make the work faster and simpler and can be managed by a single user. So, now days every organization prefers for a simpler work, which can be easy to maintain with minimal cost. Hence it is reliable and cost effective project therefore, it is more preferable.

Iggesund Paperboard is one of the largest manufacturers of virgin fiber paperboard in Europe. The UK based operation is centered at a medium sized paper mill based at Workington in Cumbria. A key part of the Workington plants success is that it maintains and manages its own forests in Dumfries and Galloway, Perthshire and the Highlands. However, Iggesund only use the top two thirds of the Douglas fir and the Scots Pines which are grown in its Scottish forests. The remaining third is used to produce timber that is sold to local and national companies for use in construction and carpentry. It is this particular aspect of the company’s business process on which I would like to concentrate.
Each forest has its own manager who is responsible for the timber sales operation. For several years the managers of the forests have been wishing to upgrade their paper based filing system to a computerized system. This system is outlined below. Unfortunately, due to staff shortages in the company I.T. department they have been unable to find the time to develop a new system. Regrettably, the forestry manager’s budget is limited and he cannot afford to purchase an off-the-shelf package.
After brief discussions with a member of the I.T. department, and with the manager of the Forest of Ae (near Dumfries) I decided that I would to like to try and implement a system that would help the manager of the Forest of Ae keep track of his customers, contracts, orders, products and haulers. Due to the recent staff cut backs and existing projects the I.T. department have been unable to offer me any type of support or spend any time with me to develop the system. However, they agreed it might be beneficial for me to develop a prototype system that then could be modified by them to suit the specific needs of the forest manager in the future.

Some people express their view that where is the actual need for this kind of system. Ordering systems on isolated computers and personal PC’s are not accessible from anywhere. Where as these kind of web related systems can be accessed from anywhere.Virtually from any part of the world with out any difficulty. As our Aurobindo Pharma is Launching a new web site with these benefits of internet they can provide better and Cost effective services to distributors, not only that with this kind of design they can Go for online shopping for other users. Realization of these kinds of systems includes gathering of many technologies at one point. Implementation of this system involved both server side programming and client side programming. Server side part has to communicate with the date base management system and has to send the results as part is responsible for providing user friendly and visually attractive interface to the user, and is responsible for communicating to the server on behalf of the user.
For the implementing above-mentioned requirement I have used HTML, JAVA SCRIPT, JAVA SERVLETS and JDBC. Server side part has been done with SERVLETS and JDBC where JDBC responsible for communicating with DBMS. On Client side HTML, JAVA SCRIPT provides user interfaces.

Library management system is being maintained manually till now, through this application it can be maintained in the database.
This is an Intranet based application that can be accessed throughout the web. This system can be used to search for all books, search books based on author, search books based on title and reserve books, find out book is in available state or not. This is one integrated system that contains both the user component and the librarian component.
The Librarian is granted administrative powers and can perform all the actions such as adding new books to the library, updating existing books, deleting books, see the students requests and issuing books, renewal & returning of books and managing all the accounts. Librarian can access the account of any user and modify it.

In the present system it is becoming difficult to issue pay-slip for all the employee every month by manually going through the various record of the organization. i.e the manger have to go through all the records of the organization of various departments of the and find out the employee working in a particular department and go through his grade, and he have to check the employee leaves of that month, his earnings and his deductions along with his pf and all other deduction including his IT and savings. So, to perform all these activities it is becoming difficult the admin/manager every month.
Hence in order to overcome the difficulties of the organization the present system is automated to perform all the activities of the organization.
